How long has the company been trading, and how has the company changed over time? 

Glampsan, a division of Plastic Solutions (Aldridge) Limited is a leading supplier of a comprehensive range of products, from plastic waste and water tanks for above and below ground applications; sewage lifting stations; pumps, water boosting tanks and supporting products used in multiple industries: in particular, camping and caravanning, glamping, agriculture and leisure.

Founded in 2010 and manufacturing in the UK, Glampsan and Plastic Solutions have refined their expertise from the initial manufacture and sale of a simple 500-gallon tank to capture waste from toilets, to now developing niche products and solutions for capturing, controlling and pumping waste and water for glampers, caravanners and campers, both on and off-grid.

Which your products are proving popular for owners of caravan/glamping parks, and why?

One of Glampsan’s key products is the ridiculously simple and suitably named “Tuff Tank.” In its natural environment, this 500-gallon plastic holding tank collects the waste when simply positioned underneath or alongside toilet blocks, glamping pods or shepherd’s huts etc. There are no expensive groundworks involved as this tank is low profile and not buried, hence it has achieved such widespread approval that it was joined in early 2019 by 750- and 1000-gallon versions, big brother and big sister! All tanks are constructed from robust polyethylene and are easy to deliver and position (as well as being incredibly cost-effective and long-lived). No single-use plastics here! They are ideally suited to the changing needs of the leisure sector: moving them around is simplicity itself as your campsite develops and grows.

What plans do you have in the future for your business? (eg events, trade shows, new buildings)

We consistently add new products to expand our range and combine with key suppliers to design solutions to waste and water challenges. In May 2018 we moved into new, larger premises and, with the laying on of extra production tooling and the engagement of additional admin staff, the company is well-positioned to exploit its market-leading status to grow through 2019 and beyond. 

The team showcases its range at the main European trade shows for the portable sanitation industry, including the Farm Business Innovation Show in the UK and EUROTOI in Germany.
