Top tips on diversification delivered by guest speakers at Holiday Home Show
Landowners and farmers looking to diversify and invest in holiday parks can benefit from specialist advice on offer at the UK’s biggest outdoor holiday home show.
Guest speakers Sarah Kemp and Alistair Latham, Partners at solicitors Wilkin Chapman LLP, will deliver a talk on “Entry to Diversification – are you thinking about setting up a holiday park?” on Tuesday September 12th of the Great Holiday Home Show trade event.
They hope to inspire farmers and landowners who are looking to create a new revenue stream for their business and are just one of a number of guest speakers who will take to the stage at the trade show from Tuesday September 12th to Thursday September 14th.
Sarah said: “There are so many factors to consider when looking at setting up a holiday park, but considering who your target customers are and how much you are prepared to invest in such a project is a key first step.
“In this seminar we discuss the top five issues to consider when setting up a holiday park, from the initial planning and development stage, to the corporate structure of the business and complying with holiday park legislation.”
For a full list of seminars throughout the trade show – from succession planning to insurance to advice on solar systems for your parks - please see the end of the release.
A huge range of brand new ranges of holiday homes and caravans will be exclusively unveiled when leading manufacturers showcase their 2024 collections at the Great Holiday Home Show.
For the first time in its history, the Great Holiday Home Show trade event (formerly known as The Lawns) will be held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate from Tuesday 12th to Thursday 14th September 2023.
Richard Jones, Show Chairman said: “This is the trade event of the year, bringing the whole industry together for the first time in four years. The Show has more manufacturers and supplier stands than ever before plus a vibrant speaker stage. We look forward to welcoming all the trade to the Great Holiday Home Show.”
The show will see 21 of the major holiday home, motorhome and caravan manufacturers, including household names, ABI, Carnaby, Swift and Willerby, showcase their latest models. With an incredible 227 holiday homes and 140 motorhomes and caravans on display across 33 acres of land, it is the largest outdoor holiday home show in the country.
As well as the latest models, there will be dedicated trade stands from solar panels to decking to hot tubs to playground specialists and more, to make it a fully comprehensive event for the trade.
The NCC (National Caravan Council), the trade association representing the UK caravan industry will be exhibiting at the show. Founded in 1939, the membership organisation spans the entire supply chain including Holiday and Residential Parks, Manufacturers, Dealerships, Service Providers and Suppliers.
John Lally, Director General of the NCC said: “The NCC is looking forward to welcoming members and visitors alike in Harrogate at this new and exciting outdoor event in the show calendar. After a break of four years, it will offer the industry a renewed opportunity to come together and network. NCC members will be proudly displaying their latest products and models, which I’m confident will be well received by our holiday parks community. The NCC will be showcasing some important initiatives and services to lead and promote the industry across all sectors”.
