Farmers raise £3,245 for The Farming Community Network
More than 640 farmers who took part in an industry survey have raised over £3000 for The Farming Community Network.
Farm workers were invited to take part in the ‘Marketing to Farmers’ survey by digital specialists, Hillsgreen and for each completed survey it donated £5 to The Farming Community Network (FCN).
With 649 final completions, a cheque for £3,245 was presented to representatives from the FCN at this year’s Cultivate conference.
The FCN is a voluntary organisation and charity that supports farmers and families within the farming community through difficult times. Andy Venables, Managing Director of Hillsgreen, said: “Our marketing to farmers research is an opportunity for us to discover how the industry wants to be engaged with so that agricultural brands can better communicate with farmers and understand their needs so farmers are engaged with in ways that benefit both parties.
“We also want to use it as a chance to give back to the industry. So, for every person that took the time to talk to us, we donated to the FCN resulting in our biggest donation from the survey to date.”
Jude McCann, CEO of The Farming Community Network, said: “This generous donation to FCN from Hillsgreen will help us to continue to provide support to the farming community during an especially challenging time in agriculture. We are very grateful to everyone who took the time to fill in the survey, provide their views and raise funds for our charity.”
